Households with poor thermal energy across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales can be provided financial assistance to reduce heating bills through various Government funded schemes. The Heating allowance schemes have slightly different names in the parts of the UK but their purposes is the same.

- Draught proofing
- Cavity wall insulation
- Hot water tank insulation
- Gas, electric, liquid petroleum gas or oil heating
